Tying with under-bed restraints
Run the straps under the mattress to all four corners and set their length first, then clip a cuffed limb to each.
How it is done
The strap system passes beneath the mattress and comes out at the four corners, so the bed itself is the anchor and nothing is tied to a frame that could be dragged across the room. Set the length of all four before anybody lies down — adjusting a corner strap with a limb already in it is a two-handed job that usually needs the hand now clipped down.
What goes wrong with this one
It only works on a bed heavy enough not to move; a slatted frame or a mattress on the floor gives the straps nothing to pull against.
